How to Convert Megaupload Links to Direct Links

You can slightly edit a Megaupload link to make it a direct download link.

Megaupload is an online storage and hosting service that allows users to register for either a free or premium account. These users can then upload files to the Megaupload site to have them stored online, making them more accessible. The user will then receive a download link that he can share with others or click on to download the stored file. However, this link will require the user to enter a Captcha code or wait for a timer to prove that he is human. To skip this you can add a small bit of text to the download link to make it a direct download link.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser.

2. Paste the Megaupload URL in the address bar at the top of the window.

3. Locate the question mark character in the link URL. Click just before the question mark to move the cursor there.

4. Type "mgr_dl.php" before the question mark character.
   For example, if the original link URL was:

   http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AAAAAAAA

   change it to the direct download link:

   http://www.megaupload.com/mgr_dl.php?d=AAAAAAAA

5. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to access your Megaupload download via your direct download link.
