How to Make a Beaded Lattice Necklace
Jewelry making is a creative pastime for people of all ages. Lattice rope is a common material used in creation of jewelry such as necklaces. Adding beads to the lattice rope allows you to create a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece that is tailored to your specific style. In addition, making homemade jewelry is a creative way to help children pass the time on a cold, rainy day. Making a beaded lattice necklace is a simple process suitable for both children and adults.

1
Determine the length you want the necklace to be. Lengths vary by person but typically range from 16 to 22 inches. Cut the lattice to the wanted length with a pair of scissors.
-
2
Stretch out the lattice you cut in the previous step in a straight line. Place the beads you are using next to the cut lattice in the order you are using them. This helps you determine how many beads you need to create the necklace.
-
-
3
Grasp the lattice you cut with one hand and carefully thread it through the necklace clasp. Secure the end of the lattice to the clasp by tying a knot around the clasp. This prevents the beads from falling off the lattice as you thread them through.
-
4
Thread the beads one at a time through the lattice in the order you want them on the necklace. Continue in this manner until you have added all the beads.
-
5
Secure the connector clasp to the end of the lattice opposite the necklace clasp. Wear the homemade beaded lattice necklace when ready.
