How to Insulate a Smoker Firebox

A smoker uses a large cooking chamber with a smaller firebox connected to one end to slow-cook food with wood chips, an electric element or charcoal. Since smokers are typically made of thin metal, it is a good idea to line the bottom of the firebox with insulation. This prevents heat from escaping through the firebox and increases the smoker's efficiency. Does this Spark an idea?
