How to Revert an ECM to ISO
The Error Code Modeler, or ECM, format stores disc images by removing redundant code, thereby reducing the file size so the disc images are easier to store and compress. ISO is a very common format for storing disc images, or electronic copies of physical discs. An ECM file created from an ISO disc image will contain ".iso" in the file name before the ECM file extension. You can revert the ECM back to ISO format using unecm.exe.

Tips & Warnings
Sometimes ECM files are further compressed inside RAR files. You will need to extract the contents of that file using an un-raring program, such as WinRAR, before you can extract the contents of the ECM file.
Other disc image formats, such as BIN and CCD, can be used to create ECM files. Check the extension that appears before ".ecm" in the file name to see what disc image format you're dealing with.
