How to Repair Mopar Dash Circuit Boards
Mopar dash circuit boards are found behind the dashboard in vintage Chrysler vehicles. These circuit boards are used for supplying and maintaining electricity to the gasoline gauge and other sensors found in the dashboard. These circuits boards rarely break or need repair unless they have been removed or store improperly, or because they received a burst of electricity that caused a portion of the board to burn out. Replacing a fuse improperly in a vehicle can cause that. Repairing a circuit board is not highly complicated and can be done if you have some knowledge of soldering.

Things You'll Need
- Tape measure
- Sand paper, fine grade
- Solder
- Solder flux
- Soldering gun
- Epoxy adhesive, with brush applicator

Sand the broken edges of your Mopar dash circuit board with fine grade sand paper. Do not remove more than 1/32 inch of the circuit board material.

Place the broken pieces of the circuit board next to each other so they are 1/16 inches apart. Coat your solder with flux and melt it over any broken circuits. Apply only enough solder for a secure electrical connection. Your solder will not cover more than 1 1/2 times the width of the circuit. The pieces of the circuit board are connected. Be gentle with the circuit board so you don't break the solder.

Brush the epoxy adhesive on to the 1/16-inch gap between the broken pieces. Apply the adhesive on both sides of the circuit board and let the epoxy dry according to the instructions on the package before installing the Mopar circuit board into your dashboard.
