How to Decorate a T-Shirt With Legos
You can create Lego-themed T-shirts using real Legos as a children's party activity or as a craft project on a rainy afternoon. Invented by Danish toymaker Kirk Christansen in 1932, the original Lego pieces were made from wood until 1947, when Christansen realized plastic was better suited to Lego toy creation. Use Lego pieces to spell out names on T-shirts, re-create classic Lego toy designs or make up new patterns. White T-shirts will help the pieces stand out the best, however, you may opt to use T-shirts in the classic red, blue, yellow or green Lego hues.

1
Lie the T-shirt on a table or other flat surface and experiment with different Lego piece arrangements until you design one you like. Do not use glue while experimenting with assorted designs and patterns. Once you have created a design you want to use, keep the Legos in place on the T-shirt.

2
Attach the Legos to the T-shirt in your desired pattern or design with fabric glue. Lift the Lego from its designated place and apply fabric glue or hot glue to the bottom of the piece, then gently place it back down where it belongs on the shirt. Be sure to apply glue to a flat side of the Lego, as the bumpy sides of the toys will not adhere to the fabric as well. Use a small paintbrush to apply the glue to the Lego piece to avoid squirting too much glue on the Legos at one time. Allow the glue to dry for about 20 minutes before use.

Add additional embellishments to the shirt once the glue has dried, such as Lego iron-on decals specifically designed for clothing decoration.
