How to Reset the Audio Sign in the Bar
The audio sign or volume icon in the Windows taskbar at the lower righ-hand corner of the monitor allows you to quick access to the speaker-volume controls. If you or someone else has recently made system changes to your computer, the audio sign in the taskbar may have changed. Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.

Highlight and click "Properties."

Click the "Customize" button under the Notification area.

Click the "Volume" drop-down arrow and select "Show icon and notifications" to always display the audio sign icon in the taskbar and show any notifications. Select "Hide icon and notifications" to always hide the audio sign icon and any notifications. Select "Only show notifications" to always hide the audio sign icon but show any notifications.
