How to Remove the Template Changer in the IP Board
Invision Power Board is a multifunctional commercial application that permits theme customization. IP Board enables you to add various modifications to the basic installation and it is written in PHP requiring the use of My SQL database. IPB is customized using the “Look and Feel” tab in the control panel. Many websites offer commercial and free templates also referred to as skins, for the IP Board forum. After installing an IP template, you can prevent users from changing the skin selection by removing the template changer from the IP Board.

Manage the templates by logging into the control panel and going to “Look and Feel tab” where you will see the skins listed with three different icons, including one for default skin, another for users with permission to select this skin and the third icon that users can’t select as it is only available if set for a certain browser or forum.

If you do not have any skins on the IP Board, log into the control panel and proceed to the “Look and Feel tab." Click the “Import” icon and scroll down the page. This will allow you to import the skin files from the downloaded templates. Import the image under the “Import Image Set." Ensure the files you are importing are either in HTML or XML output formats as the IP Board supports these two formats. Click the “Skin tools” in the Skin and Templates menu and select “Rebuild Skin Set Cache” to rebuild the new template. Click the “Skin Manager” button to set the skin as a default for the IP Board, which will be used by all users without changing it.
