How to Maintain a Hunter Rain Boot
Hunter rain boots, commonly called wellies, are rubber boots. When it is vulcanized, the rubber used to make Hunter boots is mixed with wax. This wax will rise to the surface of the boot in a process called blooming to create a white or blue film. Remove the wax bloom from Hunter rain boots and maintain their natural shine with a rubber cleaning spray. Does this Spark an idea?

Wipe off any dirt or debris on the surface of the Hunter rain boot using a clean, soft cloth.

Apply the rubber cleaning spray onto the boot starting at the top near the opening. Rub the spray into the boot with a soft, clean cloth in a circular motion until the white or blue film disappears.

Wipe down the zippers or buckles on the boot with the cleaning cloth to remove any dirt and return them to their original shine.

Store your Hunter boots out of direct sunlight to keep them from "blooming."

Hunter have just bought out a rubber care kit and boot buffer as well, so always worth giving these a try.
