DIY Wedding Altar Paper Decoration
Many engaged couples decide to hold their wedding ceremonies in religious spaces for reasons of faith and spirituality. Decorating the altar can make this special day even more everlasting by creating new memories. An essential part of many ceremonies is the lighting of the unity candle on the altar. Add to a beautiful wedding by adorning the candle with tissue paper pom-poms. These paper decorations can look elegant and classy when executed correctly. Check your household cabinets for a few crafty items and supplies to create your own spectacular wedding paper decorations.
Things You'll Need
- 32 sheets of white tissue paper
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Wire
- White ribbon

Gather eight sheets of white tissue paper.

Measure the tissue paper and cut the length and width down to 17-by-26 inches.

Stack up the tissue paper evenly and make 1-inch folds like an accordion fan across the entire width.

Hold down the middle of the folded tissue paper with your finger and wrap a wire around it tightly.

Cut both the right and left sides of the tip of the accordion, creating a sharp beak.

Separate the tissue paper from the center by slowly pulling apart each layer.

Tie a white ribbon onto the wire on the pom-pom to attach onto the candle holder.

Continue repeating the previous steps until enough paper tissue pom-poms surround the candle holder.

To complement the wedding scheme, replace white with the bridal party colors.
