Instructions

    • 1

Cover your workspace with a drop cloth. The moss will get everywhere, and a drop cloth will make this messy project easier to clean up. Lay your wreath on the drop cloth and spread out the moss according to color and texture.

    • 2

Select your first clump of moss and place a small amount of low-temperature hot glue on the wreath form, then stick the moss on the glue. Stretch and arrange the moss, adding a drop of glue to the form to keep the moss in place. Continue gluing moss to the wreath form until you completely cover the form.

    • 3

Cut small sprays of tiny flowers, such as baby’s breath or miniature roses, and glue them onto the moss. Use colors that are compatible with the wedding colors of the bride and groom. Sprinkle them in clusters all over the wreath and arrange the moss so the flowers peek out.

    • 4

Add a drop of hot glue to the back of the wreath and stick the end of your ribbon in the glue. Wrap the ribbon loosely around the wreath form in a spiral pattern, like a candy cane stripe, all the way around back to where you started, leaving several inches between each loop of the ribbon. Glue the end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath. Wrap a second color of ribbon, if you have one, in the opposite direction so the ribbons cross in an “x” pattern on the front side of the wreath.

    • 5

Spray the wreath with a light coating of iridescent glitter spray paint. Allow the paint to dry.

    • 6

Use a stencil to cut the initials of the bride and groom out of stiff cardboard. Cut a second set of initials out of fabric, making the fabric letters 1/8 inch larger than the cardboard letters. Glue the fabric letters on top of the cardboard letters, wrapping the extra fabric around the edges of the cardboard. Spray the letters with the glitter paint and allow the letters to dry.

    • 7

Apply a thin line of hot glue to the edge of your first letter and center the intials on the wreath. Apply a thin line of glue to the other end of the letters and secure the other end of the initials to the wreath.

    • 8

Cut a 3-inch length of ribbon and tie it into a loop. Glue the loop to the back of the wreath near the top edge.
