Instructions

    • 1

Boil noodles according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Drain and rinse them with cold water and allow them to cool to touch.

    • 2

Cover the bottom of your pan with tomato sauce. The amount you use depends on personal preference. If you like saucy pasta, use more.

    • 3

Cook the sausage or hamburger on the stove until completely done and drain the grease.

    • 4

Mix the ricotta cheese with two eggs until smooth and spreadable in a separate bowl. Add the sausage or hamburger.

    • 5

Layer the lasagna noodles on top of the sauce until the pan is completely covered, saving some noodles for additional layers.

    • 6

Spread a layer of ricotta cheese on the noodles. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over them.

    • 7

Pour sauce on top of the cheeses and spread.

    • 8

Add more layers until it is as thick as you want it. The final layer should be sauce with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese sprinkled over top.

    • 9

Bake in the over on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. The cheese should be melted on top. Bake longer if you prefer a crispier cheese layer on the top.

Tips & Warnings

  • Substitute cottage cheese for ricotta or combine for more flavor.

  • Use vegetables such as mushrooms or broccoli instead of meat for a vegetarian alternative.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge in a plastic or glass container with a cover on it. While the aluminum may not harm you, it can leech into the food and ruin the taste.
