How to Do Sixties-Style Eyeliner
If you'd like to shake up your makeup, look to the past and go retro. All you need are the right tools and the correct application process to get fabulous 1960s-style eyes. Choose a waterproof eyeliner in either black or dark brown for the best results. Does this Spark an idea?

Dip the brush into the liquid eyeliner and tap away any excess. Pull the skin at the outer eye lightly with your index finger and look down.

Apply the eyeliner to the top lid by pulling the brush gently all the way across the eyelid directly at the lash line and continue so that the liner extends slightly past the end of the lid. Draw over the line again if the eyeliner does not appear dark enough or you'd like a more dramatic effect. Repeat the process for the other eye.

Hold the skin taut under the eye and apply the liner against the lash line. Extend the line slightly past the outside of the eye. Apply a thick coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes to complete the look.

Tips & Warnings
Drawing a thinner line on the lid and thicker line outside of the lid will give you more of a dramatic look.
Use a cotton swab dipped in eye-makeup remover to correct any mistakes or smudges.
