Make your own kimono using a silk bathrobe with a floral design or purchase a solid-colored one. Attach embellishments, using a glue gun. Purchase a kimono pattern and material to sew your kimono.

Buy a pair of wooden sandals, known as “geta,” at an Asian-run shoe shop found in city Chinatowns or Japantowns or at a mall in a region where there is a dense Asian population. Design your hair into an elaborate style, using pictures of geishas from library books or Japanese-culture websites. Style it into any sort of “up” hairstyle to achieve a geisha look. Adorn your hair with a decorative comb, Japanese ornaments, flowers or hair sticks.
