Instructions

    • 1

Color your hair bubble-gum pink to represent Tonks from the books, or color it purple to go for the big screen Tonks look. Use temporary hair dye or spray to change your hair color for the evening. For long hair, tease the hair into a messy, punk rock style. To style short hair, use gel to create spikes and imitate one of Tonks' many hairdos.

    • 2

Wear a long black skirt and cut a slit up the side to give it an edgy look. Find a black t-shirt and screen print or fabric paint a "Weird Sisters" logo on it, like the one worn by Tonks in the story. Cover the shirt with a long, black and hooded sweater or leather jacket. The leather jacket will add to the funky style of Tonks' character. Find a pair of colorful stockings, such as fishnets or striped tights, and wear them along with a pair of long black boots.

    • 3

Accessorize the outfit with embellishments, such as long, colorful necklaces, a black leather choker, lace or fishnet gloves, a large black belt and funky hair clips. Use fun props to represent scenes from "Harry Potter" stories, including a pig nose or beak to represent the scene where Tonks amuses fellow wizards by morphing her nose. Carry a small, straight wand for an authentic Ministry of Magic look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Recruit a friend to dress up as Tonks' husband, Lupin the werewolf.
