How to Make a Headband Stand
Headbands were an important part of ancient cultures, including the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. The versatile accessory can hold hair away from your face and eyes and update your look. They are inexpensive, easy to use and can provide you with a distinctive way to showcase your personality. Headbands are available in variety of colors, patterns and designs and are made from fabric, metal or plastic. However, unorganized headbands can clutter your drawer and make your dresser messy. You may buy a headband stand or make one yourself using simple things found around your house. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Empty container, such as an oatmeal container
- Fabric of choice
- Glue
- Cellophane tape
- Styrofoam sheet
- Fabric paint and glitter

Take a piece of fabric and cut it, depending on the size of the empty container you intend to use. The fabric should have the same width as the container but should be long enough for you to be able to wrap it around the container at least once.

Remove the lid off the empty container and lay it down. Cover it with fabric and use a fabric glue to paste it. Stretch the fabric properly so it does not have any folds and the container has smooth and finished look. Trim away all the excess fabric.

Once the fabric is glued properly, take a Styrofoam sheet and cut two circles the same size as the lid of the container. Decorate the sheets and attach them on either sides of the container with help of a cellophane tape or glue.

You can further decorate the fabric that surrounds the container using paint and glitter. Let it dry for about two hours and then snap your headbands around the container.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure the container is empty and clean. You may use a glass container as well but fill it up with sand to make it more stable.
You may also use a partially used kitchen towel roll instead of the container.
You may also use a decorative paper or a chart paper instead of the fabric as well.
