Regular playing can cause your football helmet to undergo a lot of wear and tear. This can result in an accumulation of grime and scratches or scuffs on the surface of your helmet. While some players may take pride in showing off their football helmet scratches as a reminder of games well-played, others prefer to keep their helmet looking like new. You can purchase a specially formulated football helmet polish to remove scratches, or you can use a scrub brush to get rid of the marks yourself.
Things You'll Need
- Dishwashing liquid soap
- Warm water
- Scrub brush
- Soft cloth
Prepare a soap water solution by mixing a little dishwashing liquid soap with warm water in a bowl. Dip a soft cloth in the bowl, squeeze out excess water and wipe the helmet all over with it.
Gently rub a scrub brush over the scratches to even them out and remove them. Rub the helmet until the scratches have evened out.
Wipe the football helmet dry with a soft, dry cloth. Invert it, and let it air-dry for approximately 12 hours.
