      Open the main fuse box in your home and locate the circuit breaker switch that supplies the electricity to the oven. Flip the circuit breaker switch to the "Off" position.

      Open the oven door. Note the six Phillips screws on the thin panel between the control console and the oven opening. Remove the screws to free the panel. Set aside the removed panel and screws.

      Examine the exposed components. Look just behind the door lock mechanism to locate the high limit switch.

      Press and release the raised red "Reset" button at the center of the high limit switch component.

  • Reverse the process to replace the panel and screws. Switch the circuit breaker back to the "On" position to restore the electricity to the oven.
