Traditional origami often involves animal shapes.

Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper. Modular origami involves folding multiple units of paper and piecing them together to build a more complex design. Create intricate designs by taking a flap from one piece of the origami and folding it into a pocket of another piece of the paper structure. Use this folding technique to form flowers, stars or letters of the alphabet.

Instructions

Fold a sheet of origami paper diagonally. Fold the paper diagonally again. Unfold the paper and you will see two diagonal lines. Fold each corner towards the center of the paper. Unfold the left and right corners while leaving the top and bottom corners in the center. Fold the right corner backwards. This will hide that piece between the top and bottom corners. Fold the left corner over the front of the paper. Fold the small overhanging section of paper back over the left side. This will give you the letter "B."

Lay the paper down on your surface so it is in a diamond shape. Fold the paper in half vertically and horizontally and then unfold it. You should see lines across the vertical axis and horizontal axis of the paper. Fold the top corner down to the center and fold the bottom corner up to the center. You will see triangles on the left and right sides of the paper. Fold the triangles backwards. Fold the center of the triangle upward and the bottom of the triangle downward to make the letter "H."

Lay the paper down on the surface in a diamond shape and fold the top corner of the diamond down to the bottom corner and unfold the paper. Fold the right corner of the diamond across to the left corner and then unfold the paper. Fold the bottom-right section diagonally so that it is midway between the middle and the top corner of the paper. Do the same on the left side. Turn the paper over. Fold the top corner down one-third of the way and fold the bottom corner up two-thirds of the way. Fold the two side corners into the middle. Turn the paper over to form the letter "C."
