How to Make Purses With a Snap Together Purse Frame
Craft stores offer a number of purse-making supplies from drawstring, magnetic, zippered and snap frame styles. Snap together frames are commonly used in clutch and evening bags and are one of the simplest purses to DIY at home. Frames come in rounded and straight shapes and can be matched with different purse patterns and fabrics to create a variety of one-of-a-kind snap-together purse combinations. Things You'll Need
- Fabric
- Purse template
- Pins
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Iron
- E6000 glue
- Snap frame

Lay the fabric out flat. Lay the desired purse template on top of the fabric.

Pin the edges of the template to the fabric. Use the scissors to cut through the fabric around the template edges. Remove pins.

Lay the cut purse fabric out print/front side down. Pin the edges of the cut purse fabric inward 1/4 inch.

Iron over the pinned edges to press them flat. Remove the pins from the fabric. Match the edges of the fabric to fold in half and form the sides of the purse.

Apply E6000 glue along the insides of the snap frame. Slide the snap frame over the top edges of the purse fabric.

Apply E6000 glue along the side edges of the purse. Smooth purse edges together. Let dry completely.
