Instructions

    • 1

Remove a little bit of wax from the jar with your fingers. Rub it between your thumb and forefinger for a few seconds, to warm it up and create a smooth consistency. Apply the wax to the roots of each dread, working it up and out toward the tips.

    • 2

Roll each dread in a clockwise direction with your fingers. Keep it rolled for at least 3 seconds. This helps to tighten and compress the dread, as well as easily draw new hair growth into it.

    • 3

Run a blow dryer at the lowest setting over your dreads, to melt any visible wax on the surface of your hair. Blot out any wax that is still noticeable, with a paper towel.

    • 4

Wax your dreads every two weeks, as it reduces in intensity over time. Regular waxing maintains the smooth feel of your dreads and minimizes frizz.
