Verify the thermostat's temperature settings. In order for the Lennox 1F90W-69 to "tell" your heating and cooling system to turn on, the thermostat needs to be set at a temperature that is above the temperature of the home, as indicated by the "Room" temperature display on the 1F90W-69's screen. If the "setpoint" temperature is equal to or higher than the "room" temperature, use the "up" arrows to raise the "setpoint" temperature and see if the heater kicks on after a few minutes.

Reset the 1F90W-69. Restoring the 1F90W-69 to factory default settings can often resolve technical issues that the 1F90W-69 experiences. Open the door on the right side of the 1F90W-69; the reset button is unlabeled, located just below the "settings" button. You will need a paper clip to press the button as it is recessed into a hole. Once the 1F90W-69 reboots and comes back up, test it to see if the reset restored normal functioning to the thermostat.

Activate the system if either "heat" or "cool" is not showing in the 1F90W-69's main display. If you see the word "off" showing in the bottom right of the 1F90W-69's display screen, the system is simply deactivated, and you will need to open the door to the right and press either "heat" or "cool" to activate heating mode or cooling mode, respectively.
