How to Get Your Own Business on IMVU
If you are a member of IMVU, you can start a business in the community by becoming an IMVU Content Creator. As a creator, you build own brand of digital products and sell them to other IMVU members. For instance, you can design clothing for avatars or create stickers for profile pages. Access the tools in your account to register as an IMVU Content Creator.

Go to the "Become an IMVU Creator" page. Locate the "What should I know before I start?" section at the bottom. Click the "Virtual Goods Policy," "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" links to read through the information. Each page describes what you need to know, including what is an acceptable virtual good, what your rights are and how you may conduct your business on IMVU.

Return to the "Become an IMVU Creator" page and click the "Get Started Now" button at the top. Follow the prompts to log in to your account.

Review the IMVU Creator agreement that automatically appears. Click the "See Options" link at the bottom to purchase your avatar name. Follow the on-screen instructions to purchase credits, which enables you to buy your name.

Create your digital products. Use an existing item and make it your own, or create your own products in Flash or in a 2D/3D program. Click the "Create" button in the menu at the top of the IMVU main page to open Create Mode. Derive goods such as t-shirts and outfit accessories in this mode. Use your design program to build items, including stickers and interactive games.

Upload your finished designs to IMVU using the tools provided in your account. For derived goods, click the "Upload" button in the Create Mode menu bar. Follow the prompts to select your item and enter the associated information, including the product name and price. For original designs, click the "Submit a Sticker" link on the IMVU home page and follow the instructions to complete the process. IMVU automatically adds your digital goods to the catalog and notifies you when users purchase your products.

Tips & Warnings
Your 2D paint program must have the ability to export JPEG, GIF and PNG files to work with the IMVU Content Creator program.
IMVU requires you to purchase your avatar name before starting your business.
