How to Enter an EFTPS Pin in QuickBooks
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service uses the EFTPS -- Electronic Federal Tax Payment System -- to receive and process electronic tax payments. With the Enhanced Payroll feature in QuickBooks business accounting software, you can send tax payments direct to the IRS EFTPS service. When you enroll for EFTPS, the IRS will provide you with a security PIN code and password. QuickBooks prompts you to enter the EFTPS PIN code when you make an electronic payment in the Scheduled Liabilities section of the program’s Payroll Center.
