How to Troubleshoot an InnoMedia MTA 6328-2Re
Troubleshoot your InnoMedia MTA 6328-2Re VoIP device if you are having difficulties with the VoIP light, dial tone, noise interference or Internet connection. These issues can usually be resolved by checking connections and modifying certain settings. Keep in mind that some issues, such as call quality, might be related to the quality of your broadband service.

Voice/VoIP Light Not Lit

Confirm that the provided Ethernet cable is connected to a DSL/Cable modem and the WAN port on the MTA 6328-2Re.

Press the "Power OFF/ON" button on the connected modem but keep the MTA on. Wait at least five minutes for the router to restart.

Power off the MTA and wait five to seven minutes for it to power back on.
No Dial Tone Or Silence After Dialing

Ensure that the voice/VoIP light is on. If it is not, review Section 1.

Check whether the telephone you are using is plugged into the 6328-2Re port labeled "Phone 1."

Fully charge your phone if you are using a cordless phone.

Wait a few minutes and retry making your call if the Voice/VoIP light is lit and everything is properly connected. You may have encountered a busy network.
Noise Interference with Cordless System

Turn down the volume on your phone receiver.

Reposition your phone away from all other electronic devices, including computers, modems and televisions.

Test your 6328-2Re with a wired connection if you are wirelessly connected to a router.
No Internet Connection

Ensure that you have a regular, straight-through Ethernet cable running from the LAN port of the 6328-2Re to either a router or a computer.

Check that the connection is secure by removing both ends and then reinserting them until you hear a click.

Power the router off and then on. Also, restart your computer.
