How to Get New Wallpapers on the Nook
The Nook is a brand of e-readers made and sold by Barnes & Noble. The Nook Color has a 7-inch full color touch screen. The wallpaper is the background image on the screen. The Nook Color includes several wallpaper patterns you can select for the background image, but you can also upload new photos and images from your computer and use these as wallpaper. The device supports photos in JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP file formats.

Plug one end of the microUSB cable into your Nook Color and plug the other end into your computer's USB port.

Open the "My Computer" program and locate the "MyNOOKcolor" drive. Double-click on the drive to view the file folders.

Double-click on the "My Files" folder and locate the "Photos" folder.

Use your mouse to drag the desired photos from your computer onto the "Photos" folder.

Unplug your Nook Color from your computer.

Press and hold the wallpaper until a pop-up menu appears. Select "Change wallpaper."

Tap on the "Photo Gallery" tab. Slide your finger up and down the screen to scroll through the pictures you uploaded.

Tap on the photo you want to use as the wallpaper. The Nook Color displays a cropped version of your image. Use your fingers to drag the crop marks and outline the part of the photo you want to use as the wallpaper.

Tap the "Save" button to save the image, then exit the photo gallery.
