How to Troubleshoot the LevelOne WBR-6011

The LevelOne WBR-6011 creates a network for the various devices in your home or office from your Internet service provider's connection. Like any piece of equipment, the LevelOne can experience software errors and hardware issues that can stop it from working properly. While wireless routers use complex technology to deliver a wireless network, operating problems can usually be resolved without having to resort to technical support or repair services.

Instructions

    • 1

Tighten the Ethernet cable connection from your broadband modem to the "Internet" jack on the rear of the LevelOne. A loose connection can instantly disrupt your router's operating ability.

    • 2

Check the Ethernet connection to the "Internet" port on the broadband modem. Fully insert the cable into the port on the modem.

    • 3

Unplug the power adapter from your broadband modem, while leaving your LevelOne router on. Wait 15 seconds before plugging in the power adapter. This will power cycle the modem and force it to recognize the router.

    • 4

Press the "WPS" and "Wireless On/Off" button on the LevelOne for 10 seconds. This will reset the router's software to the factory operating condition. Wait for the Power, LAN and Internet lights to illuminate before trying to reconnect to the router.
