Instructions

  1. Cherry Tomato Rose

    • 1

Rinse cherry tomatoes with cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

    • 2

Hold a cherry tomato with one hand and peel it with the other using a sharp paring knife. Make a cut two-thirds of the way into the bottom of the tomato. Rotate the tomato and continue slicing the peel to create one continuous strip.

    • 3

Roll the tomato peel up, beginning with the thinnest end, to create a rosebud shape. Place the tomato rose onto a serving tray; add a green bean "stem," if you desire.

    Radish Rose

    • 4

Rinse radishes with cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut the radishes' stems off using a sharp paring knife and discard them.

    • 5

Make four cuts around the base of the radish, being careful not to slice all the way through, to form the rose's outer petals.

    • 6

Create four more cuts around the rose, slightly higher than the original ones, as the rose's inner petals. Soak the radish rose in a bowl of ice water for an hour, which will allow the petals to open.
