If you don't find a chat room for the topic you want (What? Nothing on the joys of pet ferrets?) you can make your own in WebTV. Make it public or private; the choice is yours.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • WebTV
  • Televisions
  • Internet Access
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Home screen.

  2. Step 2

Click 'Chat' on the bottom of the page.

  3. Step 3

Click 'Create chat room' under the 'Join Chat' heading.

  4. Step 4

Choose the subject for your chat room.

  5. Step 5

Fill out fields and choose options for your chat room. This includes your name, what your chat room is about, and whether you want it to be private or public.

Tips & Warnings
  • Send the name of your private room to your friends, then set up a time, and everybody can "meet" there. (Your own little virtual conference call ... )
  • If you make a public room, be sure not to swear when you chat; moderators check up on these rooms.

on 3/31/2006 A lot of farm and country people get on their PC's to relax at night. I think a Farm & Country chat would be nice.
