How to Create a Liquid Logo in Inkscape
A liquid logo is a logo that appears to be made of liquid. You can create a logo in Inkscape, a free open source vector graphics program. Once the logo is created, you can then use Inkscape's tools to add a liquid-like effect, making it appear that the logo is composed of water. The finished logo can then be used on your website or product, sold for a flat fee or used as part of a project.

1
Open Inkscape. A canvas will automatically be created.
-
2
Select the "Text" tool from the toolbar. Click the color "Blue" on the color panel located on the bottom of the screen. Draw a text box on the canvas and write the name for the logo.
-
-
3
Select the "Calligraphic Pen" tool on the toolbar. Draw water drops on the bottom ends of each letter, and drops of water running down the vertical parts of letters. You can use different shades of blue to simulate depth, or leave it as a solid color for a flat 2-D look. Consider gravity when drawing the drops -- the largest portion of the drop should be on the bottom, for example.

4
Click "File," then "Save." Type a name for the logo, such as "Liquid Logo," into the text field, then press "Enter" to save the vector image.
