How to Make People Puppets for Kids
An impromptu puppet show is a way to pass the time on a weekend afternoon. Kids can be reduced to giggles by watching hand puppets, especially when the puppets are supposed to be people. Fortunately for those without sewing skills, you can make simple hand puppets that work well. Make people puppets for kids out of paper bags and enjoy the show.

1
Draw two eyeballs on a piece of pink construction paper with a pencil. Make sure that the eyes are the same width and height. Color in the eyeballs with markers in any color, from blue to purple.
-
2
Run a glue stick across the back of the eyes. Fold the underside of a paper bag so it's flat. Glue the eyes on the top part of the bottom flap of the paper bag.

3
Draw a round button nose underneath the eyes with a black marker. It should be halfway down the flap.
-
4
Press the bag down so that it's totally flat. Draw a large set of lips with a red marker. The top lip is on the top part of the flap and the bottom lip on the bottom part. When your hand is in the bag, it should look like a mouth is talking.
-
5
Lift up the flap. Use the same red markers to color in the space underneath. That way it looks like an actual mouth.
-
6
Measure out 3 to 4 inches of yarn, about 10 total strands. Cut them all equal lengths.
-
7
Dab the ends of the yarn with glue and press it on the paper bag, at the top, above the eyes. Use equal amounts on each side of the bag. This is to look like a person's hair.
