How to Do an Herbal Facial for a Bad Pimple
While science has yet to determine all of the exact causes of all pimples, those who get them are certain that, no matter the cause, pimples must be cleared away. The market is saturated with harsh chemicals that have a drying effect on pimples. However, natural herbs can be equally effective at clearing skin. A study completed at the University of Miami and reported in the April 2009 issue of the "Journal of Drugs in Dermatology" found that the antibacterial property of green tea can kill one of the bacteria strains known to cause pimples. Things You'll Need
- Pan
- 1/2 cup water
- Stove
- 1 medium, unpeeled carrot
- Potato masher
- 2 tablespoons crushed, fresh pineapple
- 1 tablespoon organic honey
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon green tea
- 4 drops tea tree oil
- Food processor or blender

Carrots add vitamin A and beta carotene. Bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Cook the carrot for 10 minutes, letting the water in the pan boil down. Brew 1 cup of green tea. Pour 1 tablespoon of honey into a bowl. Place the bowl in the hot water with the carrot until the honey thins.

Puree ingredients in a food processor. Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender until a smooth consistency is reached.

Keep your eyes clear of pureed ingredients. Wash and dry your face. Smooth the ingredients over the skin of your face and neck. Leave your eyes free of the paste. Lie back and allow the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to penetrate your skin for 20 to 30 minutes.

Rinse face with water. Cleanse your skin with cool water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
