1
Evaluate what area of the kitchen, utility room or garage will best accommodate the pantry rack. Measure the area.

2
Repurpose a tall bookcase to store pantry items. Camouflage the contents, if desired, with a piece of fabric that matches your room’s décor. Attach one strip of Velcro to the fabric and the other to the top of the shelves of the bookshelf or hang a curtain from a tension rod in front of the bookshelf if wall space allows.

3
Hang multiple wooden or metal shelves in the designated area and top with small-to-medium-sized baskets to house an assortment of pantry items.
-
4
Install wire shelving, mounted on an angle inside a spare or emptied cabinet in lieu of space in nearby rooms. Placing the shelves at angles allows for cans to be stored on their sides, in a rolling manner, making it easier to see what’s available and to store newest cans at the end of a row. Use a hacksaw to alter the length of the racks.
