How Can You Boil Spaghetti in a Steamer Pot?
Steamer pots are good for boiling spaghetti noodles, as they allow the pasta room during the cooking process. Boiling noodles in a large vessel is important so that they don't stick together. Dry pasta expands as it cooks, making a pot with ample space necessary. Before using the pot to boil the noodles, remove the steamer insert. You can leave the insert in as a built-in pasta strainer. Things You'll Need
- Steamer pot
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 16 ounces dry spaghetti noodles
- Long-handled spoon
- Colander

Fill a steamer pot with 5 quarts of cool water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of sea salt to the boiling water for seasoning the pasta. Place 16 ounces of dry spaghetti noodles into the pot.

Stirring the noodles with a long-handed spoon prevents the pasta from clumping together. Boil the noodles uncovered for approximately 10 minutes or until they are al dente. Stir the pasta frequently throughout the boiling process.

Place a colander in your sink. Pour the cooked spaghetti noodles into the colander and shake gently to drain the pasta.
