How to Create Multiple Component Inputs for My Home Theater System
Component video is the most common high definition analog connection. The standard covers everything from Blu-Ray players to DVRs. Televisions have a limited number of component video ports, because each connected device requires five inputs. Component video uses separate connections for the red, green and blue video signals, as well as the left and right audio channels. You can add extra component video inputs using a component video switch.
