Pumpkin Hair Treatment
A pumpkin is a fruit that is part of the squash family. Although you likely think of pumpkins as being useful for making pies and jack-o'-lanterns, they can also be utilized for hair treatments. Pumpkins are high in antioxidants and omega-6 fatty acids, which help to strengthen and regenerate your hair. Things You'll Need
- Canned pumpkin
- Food processor
- Coconut oil
- Shower cap
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Unflavored Greek yogurt
- Honey
- Bowl
- Spoon

Pumpkin Hair Mask

Put 1 cup of canned pumpkin into a food processor. Add 4 tablespoons of coconut oil. Puree the ingredients until the mixture has a creamy texture.

Work the pumpkin mixture into your dry hair. Start at the roots and work it down through the tips of your hair.

Put your hair on top of your head in a shower cap. Wait 30 minutes before rinsing it out, and then shampoo and condition your hair.
Pumpkin Deep Conditioner

Mix 1/2 cup canned pumpkin and 1/4 cup unflavored Greek yogurt into a bowl. Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey.

Wash your hair as usual with shampoo. Rinse out the shampoo well.

Apply the pumpkin deep conditioner to your wet hair, working in sections to ensure that each strand gets coated. Wait 10 to 30 minutes -- depending on how dry your hair is -- before rinsing it out with cool water. It is not necessary to shampoo your hair again.
