Instructions
-
-
1
Brush your hair thoroughly to detangle it.
-
2
Separate the top of your hair from ear to ear using the end of the rattail comb. Hold this hair straight up from your head.
-
-
3
Backcomb the hair you are holding straight up with the rattail comb. Concentrate the backcombing at the roots of the hair at the crown of your head to create a stylish bump. Continue backcombing until you give the hair at the crown of your head sufficient lift.
-
4
Spray the backcombed hair generously with hairspray at the roots to help set the volume. Allow the hair spray to dry for about 10 seconds, then lay the hair down gently.
-
5
Pull your hair back into a neat ponytail at the crown of your head. As you pull the backcombed hair back, smooth it carefully but do not pull so tight that you deflate the bump. Make the hair neat in the ponytail and then secure it tightly behind the bump with the elastic hair band.
-
6
Slip the headband over your head, positioning it along the hairline at the front of your head. The headband will help keep your hair looking neat as you play and it will also make the bump more prominent behind the headband.
-
7
Spray the style with hair spray to set it and minimize flyaways.
