How to Find a Chat Room on WebTV

You want to try this Internet chat thing, but you don't want to get stuck with a bunch of teenagers talking about the Backstreet Boys. Where do you find a chat room that reflects your interests? You've got many choices on WebTV.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • WebTV
  • Televisions
  • Internet Access
  1. Step 1

    Go to Home screen.

  2. Step 2

    Click Community.

  3. Step 3

    Click Chat.

  4. Step 4

    Go to the main chat page and choose Talk City.

  5. Step 5

    Choose Hot Topics to see a list of popular chats, or scroll to the lower part of the page and choose "Browse a list of all chat rooms."

  6. Step 6

    Click on a room you want to chat in.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you know the name of a private chat room, just type it in and click to enter.

on 8/8/2006 There is no more TalkCity, and as for accessing chatrooms on webtv I was told they either work or they don't. Yahoo can't access chat there anymore either. I have been looking all over for a chatroom, but still can not find one to access from webtv.
