How to Change the Last Login Date on YouTube

How to Change the Last Login Date on YouTube thumbnail
Update your activity by performing certain actions on YouTube.

If you've had a YouTube channel for a while, then you probably remember a time when your channel displayed a Last Login feature within your Profile window. Although that feature experienced some bugs that caused it not to update, it was changed in 2011 to Latest Activity instead of Last Login. That may seem like a subtle change, but it means you have to do more than just log in to your channel to display the fact that you've been active on YouTube.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your YouTube channel with your username and password.

    • 2

Navigate to a video that you want to watch and click "Play" to watch it.

    • 3

Leave a comment on the video by typing in a comment under "Add Comment," and then click "Post Comment" to post it. Alternatively, you can click "Playlist" under the video to add the video to one of your playlists. Either of these options will cause your latest activity date to change to today's date.

Tips & Warnings

  • Another way to change your latest activity date is to upload a new video to your YouTube account. To do this, log in to your account, click "Upload Video" from the main page and then select your video from the files and folders on your computer.
