How to Make a Saddle Roll
Cowboys and hunters on horseback must take their bed with them in the form of a saddle roll that can be attached behind the saddle. Aside from blankets for warmth, a saddle roll needs to include a protective cover that keeps the blankets free of dust and insects as well as doubling as a ground cover. Making your own saddle roll is a simple task as long as you have the correct supplies.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure the tarp is clean on the side you lay your bedding on.
If you wish, you can leave the foam pad and/or the pillow out of the saddle roll to make it smaller.
