How to Track Codes for WordPress

A tracking code makes it possible for you to monitor and manage Internet traffic on your WordPress site. WordPress offers plugins that you can install on your site to add additional functionality. Analytic plugins allows you to place track codes in your site without any programming knowledge. Once the analytics code is on your site, you can monitor visitors and use of your site through the online WordPress Administrator Dashboard.

Instructions

1. Open any Web browser.

2. Log in to your WordPress Administrator Dashboard at sitename.com/wp-admin. Replace “sitename.com” with the URL of your WordPress site.

3. Click “Plugins” from the left-navigation of the WordPress Dashboard.

4. Click the “Add New” button.

5. Type “analytics” in the Search box and click “Search Plugins.”

6. Click “Install Now” under the analytics you want to use. The plugin is automatically installed and appears in the left-navigation.

7. Click the plugin name from the left-navigation to edit settings and track usage of your site.
