Presenting your cupcake on a stand is an elegant way of displaying your flair for baking. Many cupcake stands are designed in towers to present multiple cupcakes, but you can display your single creation on a stand designed for one cupcake. The display could be an aesthetically-pleasing way to present cupcakes at a party. Things You'll Need

  • Decorative paper cup, 2 inches tall
  • Waxed cake circle, the smallest diameter possible
  • Slightly larger waxed cake circle
  • Glue gun

Instructions

      Apply glue to the rim of the cup and place it face down in the center of the larger cake circle. Push the cup down to secure it to the base.

      Hot glue the bottom of the cup. Center the smaller cake circle on the bottom of the cup and then push it down lightly.

      Repeat the process to make as many single cupcake stands as you want. Place the stand on a table at a party or in a merchant's window, for example.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider spray painting the stands to dress them up a bit. You could also add sparkles, ribbon or spangles to help them stand out.

  • If you want to hide the cup and bottom of your stand, consider stapling a skirt of fabric around the rim of the top cake circle to add another feature

  • Cake circles come in a variety of sizes and are often available at craft stores. The smallest size available is often about 6 inches.
