How to Cut Red Fleshed Papaya
The term "red papaya" is actually a misnomer, because the flesh of a ripe red papaya is actually closer to orange in color, while the skin is more of a greenish-yellow. Red papayas -- sometimes known as Hawaiian papayas -- are very sweet and high in both vitamin C and beta carotene. Red papaya can be eaten straight from the tree or added to dishes such as fruit salad or salsa. There are numerous seeds found in the center of a red papaya that must be removed before you can cut the fruit for use. Does this Spark an idea?
