How to Make a Pop-Up Portfolio
Add an element of surprise to your portfolio with pop-up pages that give viewers a 3D experience. Whether you are interviewing for a job or presenting a sales pitch, pop-up portfolios create a memorable experience for viewers. Pop-up portfolios allow you to creatively display your information in a collage style, utilizing different layers.
Things You'll Need
- 2 pieces of card stock, 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch
- Bone folder
- Scissors
- Glue
- Double-sided tape

Tape two 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch pieces of card stock together at the 8 1/2-inch seams.

Fold the paper along the seam so that you have two 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch pages, using a bone folder.

Cut a notch in the 8 1/2-inch paper seam where you want the pop-up information to be displayed. The notch should include two, 2-inch lines that run horizontally across the seam.

Fold the notch inside out so that it folds the opposite direction from how your pages fold. Use a bone folder to reinforce the fold.

Glue the pop-up information onto the cut-out notch.

Allow 10 minutes for the glue to dry.

Insert the pop-up page into your portfolio book with glue or double-sided tape on the backside of the page. Press the page firmly into the book to ensure a secure fit.
