How to Run SFS

An SFS file is a SquashFS (Squash file system) file. Files in the SquashFS format are compressed, read-only Linux files that are mainly used to store settings and installation data. SFS files are used in the Puppy Linux operating system for installing packages. There are a few things you need to do to prepare to run an SFS file. First, the SFS file is copied into your mounted “home” directory. Next, you use the SFS Loader to install and index the SFS file. After the application is installed you can run the program from the “Menu” button in the Puppy Linux desktop.
