How to Port Forward a MapleStory Private Server
A MapleStory private server lets you host private games on your network. Users from the Internet must have access to the server to play, so you must use port forward settings on your router to allow access. Each game runs on its own port, so you must have the port number for your game to correctly set up the router. Each router has its own interface for settings, but the interface is similar for all port forward settings.

1
Open a Web browser and navigate to the router's console. For most routers, the IP address is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1. You know you have the right IP address when the router's login screen appears. The default login for most routers is "admin" and a blank password or "password" for the password. Consult your router's documentation for exact settings.

2
Click the Port Forwarding link in the router's navigation panel. For Linksys routers the link is labeled Applications and Gaming. A list of current port forward settings is displayed.
