Mini Table Lights with Charms
-
1
Place a miniature tea light into the bottom of each wine glass. Do not light the candles until the party begins.
-
2
Draw a lamp shade pattern in pencil on a sheet of vellum paper. The lamp shade should resemble the shape of a thick piece of elbow macaroni -- approximately 12 inches long, 3 1/2 inches across, with an inner arc 5 1/2 inches long.
-
-
3
Cut out the lamp shade. Use a hole-punch to create decorative holes, approximately 1 inch from the bottom edge of the shade. These holes will allow more light to filter through.
-
4
Place a thin line of glue along the straight edge of the lamp shade. Press the two straight edges together, creating a mini lamp shade. Once the glue is fully dry, slide the lamp shade over the wine glass.
-
5
Slide a 6-millimeter bead onto a 1-inch jewelry hoop. One bead will suffice, but you can add more if you prefer. Choose beads in colors that match the theme of your event.
-
6
Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to bend the straight end of the jewelry hoop upward. This will ensure that the end with the hole will stay in place when you close the jewelry hoop.
-
7
Slide the jewelry hoop around the stem of the wine glass. Close the hoop by sliding the end with the hole over the bent end. The beaded hoop serves as a decorative charm at the bottom of your mini wine glass lamps.
Favors Filled with Sweet Treats
-
8
Fill transparent favor bags with candy treats, such as individually wrapped truffles or Jordan almonds. Fill each bag approximately three-quarters full.
-
9
Slide a gift tag onto a decorative ribbon. Twist the top of the favor bag to close it, and tie the ribbon around the top. Choose ribbons that match the colors and theme of your party.
-
10
Use a decorative pen or marker to personalize the gift tags. Place the favor bags into each wine glass.

Tips & Warnings
Most craft stores carry decorative hole-punches, to create a design with each hole you punch into the vellum paper.
You can also create charms to place around the stems of wine glass favors filled with treats.
Be careful when working with tea light candles due the risk of fire. To minimize the risk, opt for battery-operated tea lights.
