The Yahoo! Toolbar 8.3 can help you list and tag your favorite websites. With your Yahoo! email account, you can access the toolbar’s “Bookmarks” options. As you add a new URL address, you can opt to tag the new entry. When you sign in to your email account, the tagged websites will appear on the “Bookmarks” menu for quick access.

Instructions

      Open the Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1 Web browser.

      Open the “Yahoo! Toolbar 8” homepage: toolbar.yahoo.com.

      Click the “Download Now” button. Follow the prompts. Click the button to install the “Yahoo! Toolbar.”

      Click the arrow for the “Bookmarks” menu to display a list of options.

      Click the “Go to Bookmarks” option to open the “All Bookmarks” dialog box.

      Click the green “+Add” button to display the “Add a Bookmark” section.

      Type the URL, title of bookmark and notes.

      Click to select the check box for “Use tags.” Type the tag labels.

      Click “Save.”

Tips & Warnings

  • You can view these tags on a list. Sign in with your Yahoo! email address and password. Click the “Bookmarks” menu to display the options. Click “Preferences” to open the “Preferences” dialog box. Some toolbar versions require you to point over “Tools” and then click “Preferences” on the list. Click to select the radio button for “Tag View.” Click “Save Changes.” Click the “Bookmarks” button to view the custom tags and the bookmarked links on the list.
