How to Use the SM Bus Driver for the Inspiron Desktop 546

The System Management Bus, or SM Bus, is a hardware bus on your Dell Inspiron 546 motherboard. The system bus provides the ability for power and resource management tasks to be sent to and from the various other hardware components connected to the motherboard. While some of the functions are hardware-specific, the bus still needs a software driver to operate properly. If the drivers for this hardware are not installed, the performance and stability of your computer will be affected. To use the SM bus on your Inspiron Desktop 546 computer, install the appropriate drivers with the Dell Support Center application.
