How to Make a River Foil Glue
Whether making a diorama scene with a gushing river or a T-shirt with a glittery river, foil glue is the medium to choose. Foil glue adheres to fabrics, leather, paper, glass, ceramics and wood and doesn't require sealing. By working with foil glue in multiple layers, you can create a realistic, three-dimensional river for your project in just one afternoon.

1
Sketch the outline of the river. Lightly sketch the outline of the river using pencil. Draw the river more narrow at the horizon and widen the river in the foreground for a three-dimensional appearance.
-
2
Apply the glue with a craft stick to keep fingers clean. Squeeze glue onto the river, working from top to bottom or front to back. Smooth the glue layer evenly over the river with a wooden craft stick. Allow one hour to dry.

Use texture to add waves and ripples to your river. Squeeze glue onto the previously laid layer of glue. Raise the glue bottle slightly up and down while moving along the river to create the look of waves running parallel with the shoreline. Make smaller waves close to the horizon and larger waves close to the foreground. Allow one hour to dry.
